UTU Group In Finland supply OSM27 Reclosers To Vattenfall |
Urho Tuominen Oy (UTU Group) have been awarded a contract to supply OSM27-200 reclosers to the Vattenfall power utility in Finland. Vattenfall are responsible for approximately 13% of Finland's distribution network. Vattenfall is currently undertaking a distribution system reliability upgrade. The reclosers will be used to sectionalise long feeders and isolate faults without affecting upstream customers. It is expected that these steps will see a significant improvement in the utility's SAIDI and SAIFI indicators over the next 12 months. Part of the contract involves integrating the reclosers into the Vattenfall SCADA network. The DNP3 protocol will be used to report by exception back to a GE iBox protocol converter. The iBox will then communicate to the SCADA master using the IEC 60870-5-101 polling protocol. |

Festimport And NOJA Power Provide Support And Training to Customers in Brazil |
NOJA Power's distributor in Brazil, Festimport, conducted on-site training and recloser commissioning for a customer in São Ludgero recently. The recloser had been installed inside a substation owned by Celesc, the power utility responsible for power distribution in the state of Santa Catarina. The recloser itself is owned by the Countryside Electric Cooperative of São Ludgero (CEGERO) and was installed to protect one of their feeders orginating from the substation. The reclosers are wired back to a remote operator panel in the substation using an IO module. The recloser is also monitored back in the state's capital, Florianópolis, 200km away. Festimport's Recloser Manager Pedro Trivinho conducted training and advised on suitable protection settings during commissioning. Onsite testing of protection settings were conducted using a primary injection test set. The customer was impressed with the level of knowledge and support offered by the NOJA Power/Festimport team and appreciated the level of support provided. |
